Frank Capp has owned his Victoria 18 for about a year now. He traded down from a larger boat, for the ease of sailing that the Victoria has to offer, along with the cost savings by not having a slip. Frank said that there is quite a demand for slips in his area, and getting put on a 3 year waiting list isn't out of the question!
One interesting note, he purchased his boat from Ohio, and on his way back to Penn., lost his trailer when rounding a turn at the bottom of a hill. What luck! Seems like those type of things happen at the worst of times. He saved the boat, and trailer. The chains held things together, and his boat is safe at home with him now!
Well anyway, now that Frank keeps his Vic at home , he can take the time to start adding some of the more "Salty" options he has grown used to on larger boats.

The anchor Rode is a neat option to help manage, what is on my boat, a safety hazard! The line is easily stowed below in a hammock which also allows it to air dry. Nice touch!

Frank set it up to help douse his jib after releasing the jib halyard from the mast. I'm not quite sure of the mechanics. Well Frank, does it work good? Should we all give it a shot instead of spending the bucks on a Furling Jib?
Thanks for the shots of your projects, they will help others in their quest for that special touch to make their Victoria as comfortable and easy to sail as the big boy's!
